I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics Education at Loughborough University.  I collaborate with colleagues, PhD students and project students to conduct research on mathematical thinking and learning in undergraduates and experts. I have written three research-informed books for undergraduates and one for a general audience. How to Think about Analysis has now been translated into Chinese as well as Japanese. From 2022-2025 I held a Leverhulme Research Fellowship studying logical reasoning in mathematics students.
