I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics Education at Loughborough University.  I collaborate with colleagues, PhD students and project students to conduct research on mathematical thinking and learning in undergraduates and experts. I have written four research-informed books for undergraduates and a general audience. How to Think about Analysis has now been translated into Chinese as well as Japanese. In August 2022, I commenced a Leverhulme Research Fellowship studying whether and how advanced mathematical training improves logical reasoning.
